African Burial Ground International Memorial Museum and Educational Center Study Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility and suitability study for establishing the African Burial Ground International Memorial Museum and Educational Center at the African Burial Ground National Monument in New York City.
- Requires the study to examine whether sufficient collections exist to represent African cultural traditions, assess international slave trade significance, evaluate local support, and identify suitable management entities.
- Directs the Secretary to consult with State and local historic preservation officers, historical societies, tourism offices, and organizations including the African Burial Ground Memorial Foundation during the study.
- Requires the Secretary to submit a report to Congress within three years of first funding availability describing study results, collection costs, location criteria, and property and construction costs.
