U.S. Tech PATH Act

What it does
- Establishes the United States Cyber and Digital Technology Procurement Program in the Department of State, administered by the Bureau for Cyberspace and Digital Policy, to streamline foreign government partner procurement of trusted cyber and digital technologies consistent with United States export control laws.
- Directs the Program to serve as a demand-driven mechanism responding to cyber and digital technology needs as determined by participating foreign government partners.
- Requires the Program to provide participating foreign government partners with logistics, procurement, deployment, and technical knowledge-transfer plans, feasibility studies, sustainability assessments, and capacity building services.
- Designates trusted cyber and digital technologies as those determined by the Secretary of State, in coordination with the Secretary of Commerce, to be from providers not owned by, controlled by, or subject to influence of foreign countries of concern and not posing unacceptable national security risk.
