Dry-Redwater Regional Water Authorization Act

What it does
- Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to carry out the Dry-Redwater Regional Water Authority System project in Montana and North Dakota, substantially in accordance with a Bureau of Reclamation feasibility study dated October 2025.
- Requires the Secretary to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Dry-Redwater Regional Water Authority to provide federal assistance for planning, design, and construction of the water system.
- Limits the federal share of project costs to 75 percent of total cost and specifies that federal funds shall not be used for operation, maintenance, or replacement of the system.
- Authorizes the Western Area Power Administration to make available firm power to the water system at the firm power rate to meet operational requirements, provided the system operates on a not-for-profit basis.
- Authorizes appropriation of $602,000,000 for planning, design, and construction of the water system during fiscal years 2027 through 2037.
