Plug Offshore Wells Act

What it does
- Requires the Secretary of the Interior to submit an annual report to Congress, beginning no later than 2 years after enactment and each year thereafter, describing offshore oil and gas well, platform, and pipeline decommissioning activities from the preceding calendar year.
- Directs the Secretary to make the annual decommissioning report publicly available on the Department of the Interior website.
- Mandates the annual report include the number of decommissioning applications required, received, and instances where decommissioning did not occur by the required deadline.
- Requires the report to document wells and platforms approved for decommissioning in place, pipeline lengths decommissioned in place or removed, and enforcement actions by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.
