Stop Presidential Embezzlement Act

What it does
- Imposes a 100 percent federal tax on damages received by sitting and former Presidents, Vice Presidents, Cabinet members, Members of Congress, and their relatives from civil actions against the United States.
- Excludes qualifying civil-action damages from gross income for federal income tax purposes while subjecting them to the new 100 percent tax.
- Applies the tax retroactively to damages received after the date of enactment, including those from cases filed, settled, or adjudicated during or after service in covered positions.
