MORE WATER Act

What it does

• Reauthorizes the large-scale water recycling and reuse program under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act with $450,000,000 in appropriations for fiscal years 2028 through 2032.
• Extends the authorization period for water recycling and reuse projects from 5 to 10 years, with exceptions for projects already under construction at the termination date.
• Increases the cost-share requirement threshold from 30 percent to 60 percent for non-Federal entities participating in water recycling and reuse projects.
• Establishes a Water Conveyance Improvement Program within the Bureau of Reclamation to provide grants and authority to participate in water conveyance projects in Reclamation States.
