Dakota Mainstem Water Supply Project Feasibility Study Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study, in cooperation with the Dakota Mainstem Regional Water System, to determine whether a regional water-supply project can serve municipal, rural, and industrial users across South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
- Requires the feasibility study to comply with federal reclamation feasibility standards under 43 CFR part 404.
- Limits federal cost-sharing to no more than 50 percent of total feasibility study costs.
- Authorizes appropriation of $10,000,000 to the Secretary of the Interior to carry out the feasibility study.
- Terminates the Secretary's authority to conduct the study 10 years after enactment.
