National Veterans Strategy Act of 2026

What it does
- Requires the President to establish metrics to measure veteran well-being across physical health, mental health, spiritual health, economic security, education, family and social engagement, and civic engagement in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Directs the President to formulate and submit to Congress a National Veterans Strategy at least once every four years to align government, nonprofit, and private sector resources to help veterans achieve success using established metrics.
- Requires the President to conduct public consultations including hearings, surveys, and other methods to gather feedback from veterans, families, and the general public when developing the strategy.
- Allows Congress to disapprove a National Veterans Strategy through joint resolution within 60 days of submission, with expedited floor consideration procedures.
