SAT Streamlining Act

What it does
- Directs the FCC to issue rules within 1 year to establish licensing timelines for satellite and space station applications.
- Requires the FCC to grant or deny applications for non-geostationary and geostationary orbit space station licenses and earth stations within 1 year of receipt.
- Establishes an automatic grant provision for satellite license applications if the FCC fails to act within the applicable deadline after receiving written notice from the applicant.
- Limits FCC review extensions to 90 days, with a maximum of 2 extensions per application, except for extraordinary national defense circumstances or appropriations lapses.
- Requires the FCC to process requests for minor license modifications increasing transmission capacity or spectral efficiency within 90 days and replacement satellite modifications within 30 days.
