National Quantum Initiative Reauthorization Act of 2026

What it does
- Amends the National Quantum Initiative Act to include definitions of Federal laboratory, foreign country of concern, foreign entity of concern, National Laboratory, quantum applications, quantum computing, quantum networking, and quantum sensing.
- Expands the purposes of the National Quantum Initiative to develop a domestic workforce pipeline in quantum information science, engineering, and technology while retaining international talent consistent with national security.
- Requires the National Quantum Initiative to include quantum information science, engineering, and technology education at primary, secondary, and postsecondary levels.
- Establishes definitions for supply chain shock including events caused by foreign countries of concern, natural disasters, pandemics, cyber attacks, and presidential disaster declarations.
