What it does
- Requires postsecondary institutions to adopt policies recognizing IEPs, Section 504 plans, ADA plans, licensed professional evaluations, and military-service disability documentation as sufficient to establish disability status.
- Requires institutions to adopt transparent policies regarding the process for determining eligibility for accommodations and disseminate this information to students, parents, and faculty in accessible formats.
- Requires institutions to submit data to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System on undergraduate students registered with disability services, including enrollment counts, accommodation access, and degree awards.
- Authorizes $10,000,000 in appropriations for fiscal years 2027 through 2031 for the National Center for Information and Technical Support for Postsecondary Students with Disabilities.
