American Battlefield Protection Program Amendments Act of 2025

What it does

• Extends the authorization period for the Battlefield Acquisition Grant Program from 2028 to 2035.
• Increases the federal cost-share cap for the Battlefield Interpretation Modernization Grant Program from 50 percent to 75 percent of project costs.
• Increases the federal cost-share cap for the Battlefield Restoration Grant Program from 50 percent to 75 percent of project costs.
• Authorizes $2,000,000 per fiscal year through fiscal year 2035 for grants under the Battlefield Interpretation Modernization and Restoration Grant Programs.
• Directs the Secretary of the Interior to prepare studies of French and Indian War and Mexican-American War sites by 2 years after funds are made available and submit findings to Congress.
