Calumet National Heritage Area Act

What it does

• Designates the Calumet National Heritage Area in Indiana and Illinois as a component of the National Heritage Area System, governed by the Calumet Heritage Partnership as the local coordinating entity.
• Requires the local coordinating entity to submit a proposed management plan for the Calumet National Heritage Area to the Secretary of the Interior for approval within 3 years of enactment.
• Terminates the Secretary of the Interior's authority to provide assistance for the Calumet National Heritage Area 15 years after enactment.
