Improving Access to Workers’ Compensation for Injured Federal Workers Act of 2025

What it does
- Amends the Federal Employees' Compensation Act to define nurse practitioners and physician assistants as eligible providers for workers' compensation services when acting within the scope of their practice as defined by State law.
- Requires references to physicians in Federal employees' compensation proceedings to include other eligible providers, including in sections governing medical examinations, referrals, and employee-selected medical evaluations.
- Directs the Secretary of Labor to finalize rules implementing these amendments within 6 months of enactment.
