Monterey Bay National Heritage Area Study Act

What it does

• Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a study assessing suitability and feasibility of designating land in Monterey, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, and San Luis Obispo counties, California, as the Monterey Bay National Heritage Area.
• Requires the Secretary to consult with California, local governments, Tribal Governments, nonprofit organizations, and the Monterey Bay Economic Partnership during the study.
