Duplication Scoring Act of 2025

What it does
- Requires the Comptroller General to analyze reported bills and joint resolutions to identify whether they create new Federal programs, offices, or initiatives that duplicate or overlap with existing duplicative or overlapping features identified in prior GAO duplication reports.
- Directs the Comptroller General to identify the name of the new program or office, the section where it is established, and the prior GAO duplication report identifying the existing overlapping feature, and to submit this information to the Director of the Congressional Budget Office and the reporting committee.
- Requires the Comptroller General to publish duplication-risk analysis on the Government Accountability Office website.
- Allows the Director of the Congressional Budget Office to include the Comptroller General's duplication analysis as a supplement to the cost estimate for the bill under the Congressional Budget Act of 1974.
