Global Investment in American Jobs Act of 2025

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of Commerce and Comptroller General to conduct an interagency review of U.S. global competitiveness in attracting foreign direct investment from responsible private sector entities based in trusted countries.
- Requires the review to examine Federal policies facilitating foreign direct investment, state-owned or state-backed enterprise investments, and protectionist barriers imposed by other countries.
- Mandates the Secretary publish proposed findings and recommendations in the Federal Register and provide public comment periods before and after conducting the review.
- Excludes from the review any laws or policies relating to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
