Integrated Ocean Observation System Reauthorization Act of 2025

What it does
- Renames the Council to the Ocean Policy Committee throughout the Integrated Coastal and Ocean Observation System Act of 2009.
- Expands the system's mandate to include meteorological observations and information alongside ocean and coastal data.
- Authorizes $56,000,000 for each fiscal year from 2026 through 2030 for the Integrated Coastal and Ocean Observing System.
- Requires the Secretary to allocate at least 7.5 percent of appropriated funds to each regional coastal observing system that existed on January 1, 2025.
- Directs regional associations and federally funded agency projects to develop data-sharing requirements and processes with regional coastal observing systems.
