Mexico Security Assistance Accountability Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of State to submit a comprehensive strategy for U.S. security assistance to Mexico to Congress within 180 days of enactment.
- Requires the strategy to detail how security assistance will dismantle transnational criminal networks trafficking fentanyl and other illicit goods, and degrade criminal organizations.
- Requires the strategy to outline priorities, milestones, and performance measures for monitoring and evaluating the security assistance program results.
- Directs the Secretary of State to provide annual briefings to Congress on implementation of the strategy, beginning 1 year after the initial report submission.
