What it does
- Strikes section 322(a)(14) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to remove general service lamps from the list of covered products subject to energy conservation standards.
- Repeals subsection 325(i) of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act, which had established energy conservation standards for general service incandescent lamps.
- Nullifies three Department of Energy rules published in the Federal Register (May 9, 2022; May 9, 2022; and April 19, 2024) that established conservation standards and definitions for general service lamps.
- Amends section 327 of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to remove provisions that exempted certain fluorescent and incandescent lamps from regulatory requirements.
