America the Beautiful Act

What it does
- Extends the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund reauthorization through fiscal year 2031, replacing the 2025 sunset date.
- Expands the definition of deferred maintenance to include reconstruction of demolished or removed assets if the cost is under $5,000,000 and the asset was demolished due to safety risks.
- Requires the Secretary of Interior and Secretary of Agriculture to prioritize fund allocation to projects receiving private donations of at least 15 percent of total project costs.
- Directs the Secretaries to submit a report to Congress within one year describing agency actions to reduce deferred maintenance and outlining a plan to increase preventative and cyclic maintenance activities.
- Requires the Secretaries to establish public donation solicitation mechanisms including awareness campaigns and checkout processes for federal recreational passes.
