Deploying American Blockchains Act of 2025

What it does
- Designates the Secretary of Commerce as principal advisor to the President on policy regarding the deployment, use, application, and competitiveness of blockchain technology or other distributed ledger technology, tokens, and tokenization.
- Requires the Secretary of Commerce to establish a National Blockchain Deployment Advisory Committee within 180 days of enactment, consisting of federal agency representatives and covered nongovernmental representatives with blockchain expertise.
- Directs the Advisory Committee to examine and provide recommendations on issues and risks relating to blockchain deployment, including decentralized identity, cybersecurity, fraud reduction, regulatory compliance, e-commerce, healthcare, and supply chain resiliency.
- Tasks the Advisory Committee with examining how Federal agencies can benefit from and currently utilize blockchain technology, their preparedness to adopt it, and additional security measures needed for secure use and cyber resiliency.
