What it does
- Withdraws approximately 4,288 acres of Bureau of Land Management land near Placitas, New Mexico from location, entry, patent, mineral leasing, mineral materials, and geothermal leasing under federal mining laws.
- Permits the Secretary of the Interior to convey the surface estate of the withdrawn land to third parties under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act and the Recreation and Public Purposes Act, provided the mineral estate is reserved to the United States.
