Ruby Mountains Protection Act

What it does
- Withdraws approximately 309,272 acres in the Ruby Mountains subdistrict of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest from mineral leasing operations, subject to valid existing rights.
- Withdraws approximately 39,926 acres in Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge from mineral leasing operations, except for noncommercial refuge management activities by the Fish and Wildlife Service.
- Applies the mineral leasing withdrawal to any Federal land acquired in the Ruby Mountains subdistrict or Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge after the Act's enactment.
