Transportation Asset Management Simplification Act

What it does
- Amends federal transportation law to require states to update asset management plans once every 4 years instead of annually.
- Requires states to submit compliance documentation in conjunction with the 4-year recertification cycle, with prior-year compliance certifiable by state attestation.
- Directs the Secretary of Transportation to provide noncompliant states with written notice of specific deficiencies and a minimum 90-day cure period during which compliance penalties are stayed.
- Permits the Secretary to extend the cure period and penalty stay at a state's request.
