South Dakota Water Feasibility Studies Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study to determine whether to authorize construction of a water supply project from the Missouri River to the Western Dakota Regional Water System in coordination with the non-Federal project entity.
- Requires the Secretary of the Interior to develop and submit a feasibility report to Congress with a recommendation on project authorization and the appropriate non-Federal share of construction costs, which shall be at least 25 percent based on financial capability-to-pay analysis.
- Authorizes appropriations of up to $10,000,000 for the Secretary of the Interior to conduct the Western South Dakota water supply project feasibility study, with the Federal share not to exceed 50 percent of total costs.
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study for the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System expansion project in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota, with authorization of up to $10,000,000 and a 10-year authority expiration.
