Restoring Integrity and Efficiency to Inspector General Oversight Act of 2026

What it does

Abolishes the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency effective one year after enactment.
Transfers responsibility for developing inspector general workforce policies and standards to the Director of the Office of Management and Budget.
Directs the Comptroller General to develop inspection standards for inspector general offices.
Transfers the Inspectors General Council Fund and related assets to the Director of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers.
Separates Council personnel from civil service effective on the abolishment date unless reassigned under other authority.
