NRC Staff Pay Alignment Act

What it does

• Authorizes the NRC Chairman to set compensation for career appointees at up to 110 percent of the maximum basic pay for Senior Executive Service positions within the NRC.
• Applies the compensation authority to career appointees regardless of their appointment date.
• Requires reporting of the total number of career appointees whose compensation is fixed under the new authority in NRC disclosures to Congress.
