Less Bureaucracy, Better Tribal Education Act

What it does
- Transfers 22 tribal education and job training programs from the Department of Education to the Secretary of Interior, including demonstration grants, professional development programs, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian education initiatives, career and technical education programs.
- Repeals Part J and Part Z of title VIII of the Higher Education Act of 1965.
- Directs the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to ensure the transfer does not result in a net increase in full-time equivalent employees at impacted federal agencies based on headcount on the date of enactment.
- Transfers all personnel, assets, contracts, property, records, and unexpended appropriations related to the transferred functions to the Secretary of Interior, with unexpended funds to be used only for their original authorized purposes.
