Medicare Advantage Cost Transparency Act

What it does

Requires Medicare Advantage plans to include the allowed amount for items or services in encounter data submitted to the Secretary starting in plan years beginning January 1, 2027.
Requires Medicare Advantage plans to include the amount of cost sharing (deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance) for items or services in encounter data submitted to the Secretary starting in plan years beginning January 1, 2027.
Requires Medicare Advantage plans to include an indicator in encounter data when an enrollee received an at-home health risk assessment from an entity in which the plan has an ownership or control interest.
Requires Medicare Advantage plans to include a distinct indicator in encounter data when an enrollee received an at-home health risk assessment from an entity in which the plan does not have an ownership or control interest.
