Stop Lawmakers From Predicting Act

What it does
- Prohibits Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from entering into prediction market agreements that depend on specific government policies, government actions, political outcomes, or events learned of through congressional service.
- Directs the supervising ethics office to issue interpretive guidance on relevant terms not defined in the subchapter.
- Imposes a fee on violators equal to the greater of $2,000 or ten percent of the agreement value, plus any net gain realized, to be paid by the responsible Member or their parent.
- Restricts violators from paying penalties using Members' Representational Allowance, Senators' Official Personnel and Office Expense Account, or campaign contributions.
- Takes effect 180 days after enactment.
