U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer Retirement Technical Corrections Act

What it does
- Designates individuals who received a CBP Officer job offer before July 6, 2008, but began duty on or after that date as eligible for enhanced retirement and annuity benefits retroactively.
- Directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to create a list of eligible individuals and notify each within 120 days of enactment, then provide the Office of Personnel Management with information needed to make annuity corrections.
- Directs the Director of the Office of Personnel Management to make retroactive annuity adjustments for eligible individuals, including those who already retired.
- Authorizes the Secretary of Homeland Security to waive the maximum entry age requirement to ensure each eligible individual qualifies for immediate retirement with the corrected annuity.
- Directs the Comptroller General to review CBP hiring practices and retirement-benefit eligibility procedures and report findings to Congress within 18 months of enactment.
