Federal Workers’ Compensation Integrity and Care Act

What it does
- Amends the Federal Employees' Compensation Act to permit the Secretary of Labor to request earnings and Social Security benefit information from the Commissioner of Social Security without employee authorization.
- Permits the Secretary of Labor to request information from the National Directory of New Hires from the Secretary of Health and Human Services to detect improper payments under the FECA program.
- Requires the Secretary of Labor to enter into memoranda of understanding with the Social Security Administration and HHS within 90 days to specify the manner, frequency, and form of data sharing.
- Requires the Secretary of Labor to establish procedures within 90 days for matching recipient identity and employment status with information obtained from federal databases.
