American Sovereignty and Monterey Historic Military Site Study Act

What it does

Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study of Lower Presidio Historic Park in Monterey, California.
Requires the Secretary to evaluate the national significance of the study area and determine the suitability and feasibility of designating it as a unit of the National Park System.
Requires the Secretary to consider other alternatives for preservation, protection, and interpretation by federal, state, local, Tribal, private, and nonprofit entities.
Requires the Secretary to submit a report to Congress within three years of receiving initial funding describing the study results and recommendations.
