Veterans’ Compensation Cost-of-Living Adjustment Act of 2026

What it does
- Increases rates of disability compensation and dependency and indemnity compensation for veterans and survivors effective December 1, 2026, by the same percentage as Social Security cost-of-living adjustments.
- Increases dollar amounts under title 38 sections 1114, 1115, 1162, 1311, 1313, and 1314 for wartime disability compensation, dependent allowances, clothing allowance, and survivor benefits.
- Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to publish adjusted rates in the Federal Register no later than the date Social Security COLA determinations are published in fiscal year 2027.
- Authorizes the Secretary to adjust administratively the rates of disability compensation payable under section 10 of Public Law 85-857 to align with increases made under this Act.
