What it does

• Deems the parent of a spouse of a covered Department of Veterans Affairs employee as the employee's parent for purposes of determining eligibility for family and medical leave under 5 U.S.C. 6382(a)(1)(C).
• Defines covered employees as full-time Department of Veterans Affairs employees, including those appointed to the Veterans Health Administration under chapter 74 of title 38.
