Dakota Mainstem Water Supply Project Feasibility Study Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study through a cooperative agreement with the Dakota Mainstem Regional Water System to determine whether a water supply project can serve municipal, rural, and industrial water needs in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.
- Requires the feasibility study to comply with reclamation feasibility standards in 43 CFR Part 404.
- Limits the federal share of feasibility study costs to a maximum of 50 percent.
- Authorizes an appropriation of $10,000,000 to the Secretary of the Interior to carry out the feasibility study.
- Terminates the Secretary's authority to conduct the study 10 years after the bill's enactment.
