Lewis and Clark Regional Water System Expansion Feasibility Study Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a feasibility study, in coordination with the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System, Inc., to determine whether to expand the system's capacity and reach in Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota.
- Requires the Secretary to submit a feasibility report to Congress and the public that includes a recommendation on whether to authorize construction and specifies that the non-Federal share of construction costs shall be at least 25 percent based on financial capability analysis.
- Directs the Secretary to enter into a cost-sharing agreement with the non-Federal project entity whereby the Federal share of feasibility study costs shall not exceed 50 percent and comply with reclamation feasibility standards.
- Authorizes $10,000,000 in appropriations to the Secretary of the Interior to carry out the feasibility study, with authority expiring 10 years after enactment.
