Improving Emerging Tech Opportunities for Veterans Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to partner with private employers, educational institutions, and nonprofits to identify emerging-technology industries and positions with high employment growth potential and the education or training needed to enter them.
- Requires the Secretary to prominently include information about emerging technologies and related education courses in the Transition Assistance Program under sections 1142 and 1144 of title 10 and on the Department of Veterans Affairs website.
- Requires the Secretary to establish an expedited approval process for courses of education identified under this section within 90 days of enactment, as provided in chapters 34, 35, and 36 of title 38 United States Code.
- Directs the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of Labor, to determine which technologies of critical importance, including artificial intelligence and semiconductor manufacturing, shall be treated as emerging technologies for purposes of the bill.
