What it does

• Amends section 47109 of title 49 to expand the definition of economically distressed airports eligible for a special federal cost-share rule to include those receiving essential air service compensation under chapter 417.
• Extends the special cost-share rule to airports located in U.S. territories that were eligible points under the Federal Aviation Act of 1958 as of October 24, 1978.
