Preshevo Valley Discrimination Assessment Act

What it does

Directs the Secretary of State to prepare and submit a report to Congress within 180 days on the treatment of ethnic minorities in Serbia.
Requires the report to assess whether Serbian government authorities are deactivating registered residences of ethnic Albanians in the Preshevo Valley and whether such deactivation prevents identity document renewal and voting.
Requires the report to examine whether Serbia restricts or prohibits use of the Albanian language in public institutions and on official documents in majority-Albanian municipalities.
Requires the report to assess whether Serbia provides adequate central government grants to majority-Albanian municipalities relative to majority-Serb municipalities for infrastructure and public goods.
