What it does

• Adds Alzheimer's disease and related dementias early detection screening tests to Medicare covered services, effective January 1, 2028.
• Defines covered tests as FDA-cleared, classified, or approved blood-based and biospecimen tests for pre-symptomatic and early-stage dementia detection, including genomic sequencing, protein analysis, imaging, and equivalent tests the Secretary deems appropriate.
• Amends Medicare payment rules to include payment for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias early detection screening tests under section 1861(nnn).
