Veterans Flight Training Responsibility Act of 2026

What it does

Amends Title 38 to impose a lifetime cap of $119,684 on Post-9/11 Educational Assistance payable for flight training and contracted education programs beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year.
Adjusts the cap annually based on the percentage increase determined under Section 3015(h) of Title 38 for subsequent academic years.
Reduces the maximum payable amount proportionally for veterans pursuing covered education on a less-than-full-time basis using existing entitlement formulas.
Applies the lifetime cap limitation against any entitlement used prior to enrollment in a covered flight training or contracted program.
