HOMEFRONT Act of 2025

What it does

Exempts military unaccompanied and family housing units from National Historic Preservation Act requirements, except those listed on the National Register of Historic Places as of January 20, 2025.
Permits the Secretary of Defense to exclude up to one-tenth of one percent of military housing units from the exemption and manage them under historic preservation rules, provided those units are not already on the National Register.
Prohibits landlords of privatized military housing from requiring tenants or prospective tenants to sign nondisclosure agreements in connection with lease entry, continuation, termination, or related services.
Applies the nondisclosure agreement prohibition retroactively to any agreement covered by the provision regardless of execution date.
