Ensuring Casualty Assistance for our Firefighters Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of the Interior to develop a Wildland Fire Management Casualty Assistance Program within 6 months of enactment to provide assistance to next-of-kin of firefighters and wildland fire support personnel killed or critically injured in the line of duty.
- Requires the Program to establish procedures for initial and subsequent notifications to next-of-kin when a firefighter or support personnel is killed in the line of duty or requires hospitalization.
- Requires the Program to reimburse next-of-kin for travel expenses to visit firefighters or support personnel who are killed or hospitalized due to line-of-duty injury or illness.
- Requires the Program to provide survivors and next-of-kin with centralized case management, rapid access to expert case managers and counselors, and personalized information on available Federal benefits through a no-cost website.
