Burma GAP Act

What it does
- Authorizes the Secretary of State to appoint a career Foreign Service Officer as Special Representative and Policy Coordinator for Burma to promote comprehensive international efforts.
- Establishes as U.S. policy to uphold the Genocide Convention, prevent and punish genocide against Rohingya, and pursue coordinated international measures to protect Rohingya human rights.
- Directs the United States to isolate the Burma military junta diplomatically and economically until civilian rule is restored.
