Eastern Mediterranean Gateway Act

What it does
- Authorizes the Secretary of State to institutionalize multilateral strategic dialogues between the United States and IMEC countries, including dedicated formats with Eastern Mediterranean countries.
- Requires the Secretary of State to prioritize the Eastern Mediterranean region in United States foreign policy, focusing on energy security and defense cooperation.
- Directs the Secretary of Energy, in coordination with the Secretary of State, to submit an annual report within one year of enactment and each year thereafter describing implementation and effect of this Act, including updates on energy projects and defense cooperation.
- Directs the Secretary of State to provide to appropriate congressional committees a briefing within one year of enactment on each multilateral initiative between the United States and IMEC countries.
