FLASH Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of Interior and Secretary of Agriculture to inventory and install at least 584 miles of navigable roads on federal lands within 10 miles of the southern border to increase U.S. Customs and Border Protection access and enforcement capabilities.
- Grants U.S. Customs and Border Protection access to federal wilderness areas and covered federal lands to conduct border security and enforcement activities.
- Allows border states to place movable, temporary structures on federal lands to secure the southern border.
- Establishes policies and procedures for the Department of Homeland Security to reduce trash accumulation on federal lands along the southern border and requires transparency reporting on environmental conditions.
- Prohibits federal agencies from providing housing to aliens present in the United States without legal admission or status in violation of immigration laws.
