What it does

• Authorizes the SBA Administrator to increase loan guarantee commitments to qualified state or local development companies by up to 115 percent of the statutory limit if commitments would exceed that limit, beginning in fiscal year 2027.
• Requires the Administrator to notify the Senate and House committees on Small Business and Appropriations at least 30 days before exercising the authority to increase commitments.
• Limits the authority to increase commitments to once per fiscal year.
