American Quantum Competitiveness Act

What it does
- Directs the Secretary of Commerce to serve as principal advisor to the President on commercial manufacturing, deployment, and scaling of quantum technology.
- Directs the Secretary to support commercial leadership in quantum technology by promoting private-sector investment in quantum manufacturing and deployment in the United States.
- Directs the Secretary to establish a method to identify critical quantum components, assess their availability, and manage risks from components manufactured in covered nations.
- Requires the Secretary to publish a comprehensive strategy and public report within 2 years, and every 3 years thereafter, describing actions taken and recommendations for strengthening U.S. quantum competitiveness.
